Til Johnson was raised on a farm in rural Forrest and graduated from Forrest Strawn Wing High School in 1969. She then worked for State Farm in Bloomington for one year.  Following that position, she returned to Forrest and started working for Willard Bess Insurance in August 1971.  Willard Bess Insurance later became Bess Metz Agency when Steve Metz became a partner.  Later, the Bess Metz Agency merged with Slagel Stoller Agency and became the MetzStoller Agency.  During the years working for this agency, Til serviced personal lines, bookkeeping and serviced the Illinois Ready Mix Insurance Program.  She currently works with small and large commercial lines.  Til obtained her producer license and in 1998 earned her CISR Designation (Certified Insurance Service Designation).

In 1980, Til married Harry Johnson and together they have three children: Trent (married to Jenn), Travis, and TeAnna (married to Dan Herr), plus six adorable grandchildren who she enjoys spending her free time with.
