Rod L Steffen, President and part owner of Compass Insurance Partners has over 25 years of business experience in the insurance Industry. This unique experience of owning and managing a successful small business for over 16 years has given Rod the opportunity and experience to understand and identify with the needs of small business owners especially in the area of business succession planning, employee benefits and retirement plans. In addition to business planning Rod also specializes in the area of life, long term care, disability insurance and other products to help our clients achieve financial security. Rod received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification in 1988 and CLU designation in 2008. Rod is also licensed in fire, casualty, life and accident and health insurance and is a graduate of University of Illinois.

He resides in Cissna Park, Illinois with his wife Beth and they have recently emptied the nest. Rod and Beth have two daughters Gretchen (married to Jeff Moser) and Chalise along with three sons Brett (married to Olivia), Justin and Quinn and three really handsome grandsons. Rod had served on the Cissna Park Community School board for 16 years and was vice president or president for four of those years. Rod enjoys traveling, running, biking, ping pong, and reading. On Saturday mornings Rod can often be found at the Vermillion County jail handing out Bibles and conducting Bible studies with troubled men and women there.
