Greg is a 17-year veteran of the insurance industry and a successful business owner.  He joined the Steffen Agency in 1993, then owned by his father, Eldon Steffen.   He received his CLU designation in 2003, ChFC in 2005 and is currently working on his CIC.  Greg specializes working with fire departments. Greg is a member of PII.

Greg co-owns Compass Insurance Partners with Rod Steffen.  They have expanded the agency from the original office in Cissna Park to eight locations.

Greg was born and raised in Cissna Park, IL.  He joined the army in the summer of 1984 and served in active duty for 7 years and retired from the Army Reserves after 21 years of service.  He married Darla in 1987, and together they have two children, 17 year old Eric and 15 year old Shannon.  He has served as a volunteer firefighter since 1994. In his spare time, you will find Greg attending his children’s various sporting events.  Greg looks forward to helping protect your family and business.
