Amorie began her professional career in 1983 as an assistant to five stock brokers with Shearson /American Express in Chicago.  During her time at Shearson, she obtained both her series 7 and series 63, making her a registered representative.  In 1989, Amorie became Operations Manager of Lashco Inc., a firm that cleared stock trades executed on the New York Stock Exchange.

After taking some time off to start a family, Amorie entered the insurance industry in 2003 working part time as a marketing assistant at a local State Farm agency.  It wasn’t long before she was asked to join that agency full time as a licensed CSR. Through that experience she discovered that what she finds most rewarding is the opportunity to help people. Another aspect of the industry that she finds appealing is the continuous opportunities to learn and grow professionally.  Since joining Compass Insurance Partners in 2009 she has begun working on her CISR designation.

Outside of the office she spends the majority of her free time doing what she loves most – raising her three sons.  She also enjoys volunteering at their schools and being involved in all of their activities.
